Jeff Watson what are you doing?

I recently stumbled across a post that's been bothering me for a couple of days now. Conservative MP Jeff watson www.jeffwatson.modblog.com posts a blog declaring his supoort for unions, the CBC and protectionist ideologies. I won't get into why his support for these leftist stances is wrong instead I will only say that if the contest is spending the government's money and irrational statist policies then Canada's two socialist parties will always win hands down. But I posted this to urge all conservatives out there to write him and let him know what they think about his faux-liberal stance.

It's no wonder why all the crackhead lefties think Harper has a hidden adgenda-- only one of two logical conclusions after reading Mr. Watson; either this guy ran for the wrong party or he's as devious as the Pied Piper. God save Ontario voters.

Does anybody else have a problem with this? I will be glad to post all comments on this subject.

Watson was the first Conservative elected in that riding in 42 years. It was NDP from 1984-93.

It certainly appears as if he's aiming to keep his job by appealing to the standard Windsor philosophies, now that his volunteers have seemingly abandoned him, and polling shows him destined to lose to Susan Whelan.

I didn't know anything about the riding, but that's interesting. But,if you're going to go down, go with the ship and for God's sake stand by your convictions. if you abandon your principles during tough times it only validates whatever the populists of the day (liberals and dippers)are spewing.

Fact is that Jeff Watson let his ego get in the way and now he will learn the same lesson so many rookie politicians learn that hard way - lose.

I live in Watson's riding and worked on his campaign in 2003 - I no longer have anything to do with him or the riding, and I won't until he's gone, or the nomination freeze in the riding is lifted. (I'm working in Windsor-Tecumseh.)

Regardless, it does bother me - a lot - to have a supposedly conservative MP spewing all this liberal crap while he's representing me. However, since he knows who I am and I've left for WT, I doubt any correspondance from me will do much good.
